Halloween

Tarleton Halloween Carnival

Katie and her buddy, Jordan

Kids from the 50's
My good friend's mother, Randie, sewed outfits for her grandchildren and our kids. Isn't the poodle skirt awesome!!!! I wish you could see the shoes, Katie has been wearing the shoes to
school since Halloween.

Kade was a little less cooperative at this point, so much for a happy picture of both kids together.

Notice the back of Kade's jacket, very cute. This is Jourdan's precious mom on the left. I wish I had taken a better picture of her with the kids. It was a little chaotic with the kids...

Katie petting a pig in a costume.

Kade didn't get so close to the pig.

Mrs. Carlson's Class Treat Day

Katie and Kendall

All the kids enjoying their craft.

Mrs. Carlson reading stories.

All the kids enjoyed dancing to the song "Ghostbusters."

Thank you Katie for letting Kade and I crash Treat Day in your class.

We took the kids to the Homecoming Parade this morning, on the way home we stopped to get pictures of the kids with pumpkins. We have yet to capture a picture of Kade smiling at the camera.

Letter from School

When I picked up Katie from school today she was concerned about an envelope that her teacher put in her homework notebook, and wanted to know what this envelope was all about. Thinking she might be in trouble this is what we found in the envelope...

Way to go Katie!!! We are so very proud of you girl!! Will post pics after the awards.

Ethan Hebert

My nephew Ethan (my brother's son) has the cutest website, he is 4 years old. Ethan lives in California with his 2 sisters, Elle and Hannah, also his parents. My brother has been creating the website for my nephew, if you have a Batman fan in your family they will love it.

If you click on the magnifying glass, you can move it around. Then click on the camera to scroll through his pictures. Very Cute!

White Pumpkins

According to all the decorating gurus white pumpkins are the latest rage. So...

If you now want white pumpkins, go to Walmart and buy the pumpkins near the craft section, $1 each then spray paint them with ivory or off white paint. I painted the stems with brown craft paint, because that's what I had on hand.

Now I'm working on Katie's room, got some great ideas from home interior person, will post more on this later when I upload pics.

Before & After Pictures

What do you think of our new swing set??? Well, once again after 12 years of marriage Johnny convinced me that this pile of wood had some "potential." Johnny then follows this statement with "after all, the price was right!" (which means free)

Before picture (9-2-08)

After (9-21-08)

We're actually not done yet, but what a transformation thus far. We are planning to hang a glider and swing. I would like to give the wood a fresh coat of paint to update the look, but not sure about a color (since there is old and new wood stain is not an option). Any ideas on a paint color??????? I would love to hear some ideas on paint colors.

Johnny tightening boards this afternoon.

Kade has not always been a fan of hats...until recently. But this was not what we had in mind for our little cowboy. This is Kade wearing Katie's hat at breakfast this morning. He was loving wearing her hat.

As I took pictures he kept making funny faces, we're beginning to wonder if we have a ham on our hands.

Kade let me put his hat on him this afternoon, but notice he's holding Katie's pink hat.

Kade's 1st Birthday

We celebrated Kade's 1st birthday at Grancie's house (my mom) in a small John Deere party with grandparents.

Kade kept crawling over to his swing and trying to get into it, very funny.

Katie was excited to help little brother open his presents, after all, she has 6 years of experience under her belt.

We started the party while Kade was still napping, so he woke up to find everyone waiting on him.

Kade ate cake for lunch. Absolutely loved it! He ate the cake, licked the plate and then tried to eat the plate.

We are so proud of his new boots...thank you Corey & Jourdan!

Kade enjoying his new Tonka truck!

Reynolds Family Reunion

This is a late post from Labor Day weekend. The annual Reynolds Family Reunion met in New Braunfels for the weekend of festivities. A HUGE thank you to Jeremy, Macy and Lawrence (Macy's dad) for hosting the weekend! We enjoyed visiting with everyone, watching the kids play together, McKenna Children's Museum, shopping San Marcos outlet, eating at the Gristmill in Gruene, family game of kickball, and watching the kids (and dads) on the Slip 'N Slide!
